Volunteers are the Life Blood of Our Organization

While we need few volunteers, they play an important role with the Society.   Most of our positions work with the members (otherwise known as clients, but we call them members), some work behind the scenes to help run things smoothly.

Bus Driver

Occasional Outings

Most of our trips are around the community and surrounding area.  Generally, not more than 4 hours.  Occasionally, we might do a trip to another community, but the endurance of our members makes it so that the trips need to be under 6 hours.   At least one other employee or volunteer will always be on the trip.

Some recent trips include:

  • MacIvor Lake
  • Rebecca Spit
  • the Museum at Campbell River to look at the Model Train Exhibit
  • Qualicum Beach to look at the Christmas Lights
  • Local drives
  • Picnic at the Spit

Candidates must have a:

  • Class 4 Unrestricted for our 25 passenger bus.
  • Acceptable Driver's Abstract
  • Acceptable Vulnerable Person Criminal Record Check
  • Positive demeanor with others.
  • Initiative

Orientation to the bus will be provided over a few sessions.
